The trade off from sunshine and light winds has been building pollution levels. The Clean Air Partners have our region in Code Orange Air Quality Alert for today. That is unhealthy for sensitive groups, and given the added awareness of COVID-19, here’s a reminder of the suggestions from 11 AM to 5 PM:
Limit physical outdoor activities.
Limit Driving (to lessen pollution).
Put off lawn care.
Morning Surface Weather
High Pressure remains in control, which is why we have had light winds to allow pollution levels to build up. Notice the boundary along the coast. There is another air mass trying to build in with winds from the ocean. This should reach Delmarva today, and metro areas on Friday for a brief cool down.

Friday Temperatures
Morning
Afternoon
Temps should be a little cooler with that new air mass. The heat and a little more humidity will return this weekend.

We will remain on the perimeter of rain, which a 30% chance of showers over the weekend afternoons.

Sunshine State Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
