As I write this report, the heavy rain is moving through our region.  The rain will fade to showers later this morning, then a chance for thunderstorms and marginal risk for severe weather this afternoon. The live radar and rain timeline is below.

Winds will be swinging from the south to the west. Considering the full moon and next high tide later today on the Bay, that may diminish the next chance for tidal flooding.

A wide range of temperatures span the state, but the cold air will win by tomorrow.  This is when rain showers will mix with snow, even in central Maryland. Radar Simulation slider for Tuesday is below as well.

One band will swing through in the morning. This should be the first chance for snow mixing in across the inland suburbs.  There could be more flurries in the afternoon not shown on the model.

• The accumulation for western Maryland is increasing up to the 4 to 8 inch range.
• A dusting is possible through northern Frederick County.
• There will be snow showers and flurries across the colder suburbs of Baltimore and into the York/Lancaster region of PA.
• Some flurries may fly at times inside the Baltimore Beltway.
