Temperatures are near normal today, which means it will be cool. But we are still in for rapid changes in a developing busy weather patterns. The next storm is on the map and does not look like much now, but it will spread rain our way on Thanksgiving, along with warmer air. There may be some good news I’ll lay out below.
After the holiday, we cool down again, then watch what may be the first in a series of storms rolling up the coast. It could get interesting in early December.
Morning Surface Weather
High Pressure in in control, but we could see some high clouds mixing in across the sky.

Thanksgiving Snapshots
We now have better agreement on the timing of the rain for Thursday morning. European Model was slower, holding off until the afternoon, but is now joining the GFS with the bulk of our rain in the morning. This will play a role in ‘virtual’ Turkey Trot runs. We should have some improvement in the afternoon, but showers will linger.
It will be a mild day in the 60s, even after the rain stops.

This model has been the best performing option lately. Here we see the Thanksgiving rain event, then the storm for Sunday-Monday forming in the Gulf, then rolling up the coast. There are more behind this, but I wanted to wait and see if that holds true. If so, I will share that extended outlook in my next report.
