November 18 2020
This windy Wednesday will feel like winter. If this gets you ‘in the mood’, I just published my final Winter Outlook Series article and linked it below if you missed it. My official winter outlook for snow will be issued Thursday evening.
We are now in the grip of the coldest part of this air mass, which will bottom out tomorrow morning. This includes some flurries in central Maryland this morning, strong winds much of the day, and the first freeze of the season for Baltimore and around the Chesapeake Bay. A Freeze Warning may be issued at some point today.
Morning Surface Weather
Morning Flurries
Snow flakes reached Baltimore County on one Lake ‘Enhanced’ Streamer seen on Doppler Radar (4:08 AM to 5:36 AM).
This is ambience, but no travel impact. It will shift east and could reach parts of Harford County before fading away.
In case you missed it…

Looking Ahead
At this point, it looks like we will get through the weekend with dry weather. Rain more likely with the cold front Monday, then turning colder again.
