Thursday May 7 2020
Today will bring a break in the clouds and allow the May sun to warm us a little. But a rare visit of the Polar Vortex will be dropping in to the northeast US this weekend. If this was winter the pattern would have brought arctic cold and plentiful snow for the last few weeks. The net result this time will be a ‘taste’ of winter.
Quick Cast
- Thursday: Sunny and mild
- Friday: Rain afternoon, Mix with snow at night
- Saturday: Morning Freeze /Frost. Afternoon showers. Records possible for morning low and afternoon high.
- Mothers Day Sunday: Morning Frost, Afternoon sun and mild. Record possible for morning low.
*If you are not happy about this, the good news is that the main chance of snow will be in the dark hours Friday night. The cold air will be felt to start the weekend, but Mother’s Day afternoon will be the best part of the weekend.
