Wednesday December 12 2018

We are in a cold pattern and don’t have much snow to show for it. That may be good for some and frustrating for others. But it is inevitable that something will get us.  In the short term, this cold day will have increasing clouds and the next system will bring some flurries and sprinkles Thursday morning. This is following the trend shifting north like the last storm.

That is why we need to watch the storm this weekend. While it will bring us rain Friday afternoon and Saturday, colder air aloft (to our south) may allow the end of this mix over Sunday morning.

Snow Day Kit

Our ritual the night before a storm is finally in one kit. Maybe if more Maryland kids had this, the storm would reach us 🙂

  • This includes a very soft raglan Tee printed inside out with #FITF AND the check list,  #FITF spoon for under your pillow, ice cube tray with snowflake shapes, chalk, a #FITF wrist-band, a mini SnowStix, and a bag to carry it all in.
  • Order by December 14 and it should arrive for the holiday.
  • This will also help us give a free Snow Day Kit to each of the Just In Power Kids.

Rain Friday Afternoon Into Saturday

Sunday Morning

Another piece of energy will bring light rain showers Sunday… But the upper level air will be cooling. There is a chance this may produce a mix with sleet or snow. Considering the trend for systems to verify north, that cold pocket would end up over central Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania. Stay tuned…
