The remains or ghost of Florence made its way off of the east coast and tapped into the Gulf Stream. There were some computer models about a day ago trying to redevelop this into another named storm. The suggestion was less potential and possibly a sub-tropical Low. It did spark some rumors online that I wanted to address here. If that was to happen, a new name would be given to the new storm. But it does not look like it will happen.

However, there latest analysis and information of this area known as Invest 98L suggests this is not going to amount to much. There will be some showers with the remnant Low Pressure now located near Bermuda, work its way back to the southeast US. However the upper level winds are not supportive for growth, plus an active pattern across the US is working against it. Some moisture will get pulled in ahead of the next front, but the upper level winds will rip the circulation apart.

NHC has the chance now down to 0%
We will have plenty of rain in the eastern US in the week ahead. Summer is about the begin and Autumn is going to start just as the past two seasons have begun… Wet! But the pattern is trending more fall-like and cooler. More on that over the weekend.
