Sunday October 8

Tropical Depression Nate has winds of 35 mph and is racing to the north at 23 mph. This was expected to be downgraded at this point, and also expected to bring us rain and wind tonight and into the morning. The forward speed is likely to increase, which means the worst conditions could be moving away before noon. Besides, Nate has always been lopsided with all the action on the east side. Not much else on the other.  This storm will follow a path similar to remains of Harvey and Irma thanks to that stalled front in Ohio.

Here is a quick look at the set up this evening and timeline for the rain. If you happen to be off of school or work for Columbus Day, it may not be a total loss for going outside.

Note: The record for warmest low temperature in Baltimore appears to be within reach. As of post time the 9 PM temp at BWI was 77ºF. The record was 68ºF in 1922. See more in my prior post.
