It’s hard to avoid this… Rain is on the move in and there may be some was we can thank Tropical Storm Gert. But we will not get that storm. Gert formed Sunday and as of this morning has 45 mph. It may strengthen to a hurricane this week, but will stay off of the east coast. We can thank the old front that Brough strong storms over the weekend, but the flow on the back side is helping to bring moisture up our way. This is not the news my Trek Team wants to hear as we will be between Cumberland and Hancock today, where the mountains will get the rain first. This will reach metro areas late afternoon and last through this evening.
Note: The solar eclipse is 1 week from today. Here is a look at multiple animations showing what we can expect (if it is clear)
Here is a quick look at the radar simulation…

High Temperatures
Hint at tomorrow:
The showers my linger, but then we should be dry but warming back up for the rest of the week. I am sorry for the brief report, but this is all I have the time for and we get ready for Day 2 of Maryland Trek 4. We will have that report next.
