After the round of storms that were destructive in some parts, we have a break in the action today while holding on to the heat. That cold front is in the process of stalling to our south, which will keep the focus of afternoon storms today in southern Virginia and Maryland. But we can’t rule out a stray shower as temps get back up around 90ºF. Here’s a snapshot of later today’s radar simulation and high temps:
Outlook:
This first week of July will be as typical as it gets. Temps stay up near 90ºF and we could have some afternoon showers and storms. one disturbance will pass through Monday evening and then we will focus on Thursday and Friday for something more organized. In between, most of us should have quiet weather for July 4th and keep the fireworks to the professional shows. Here’s a quick look…
