Sunday June 18
This Fathers Day edition will be brief because I am anxious to spend the day with my boys. The day will be warm, humid, and much like yesterday pop spotty storms. We will watch them flare up in the mountains, and some could spill east… But the real action for us will be Monday as the severe storm outbreak will focus the attention on our region with an ‘enhanced risk’. This could be widespread as the cold front will be the trigger moving through during the evening and overnight. Below, see the action building in the tropics with interest in the US this week.

Temperature Outlook
Tropics
The other area of interest is across the Caribbean as the tropics are heating up. Water temperature are warm enough as two impulses show promise over the next 5 days. The greatest threat is along the Central American coast that will spread into the Gulf of Mexico this week. This will be a US interest anywhere from Texas to Florida.
Plenty to watch over the next week. I will have another update this evening and start doing live videos on my Facebook page as the storms arrive Monday. I understand the importance of real time weather reporting since this blog forum could be a few hours old by the time you read it. Thank you for trusting my take on the weather to keep you informed and safe.
