Thursday December 29 – Rain is moving out this morning, and one more disturbance could kick up a last line of showers mid day. There was some snow at the arrival on the north side, but you may have left through it. Stickage with steady snow was as close as Harrisburg, PA and just north of Lancaster this morning. There is colder air nearby and it will wrap around a strong storm moving through New England. That will ignite the Lake Effect snow machine which will bring 3 to 6 inches of snow Wisp in western Maryland and other area ski resorts in the mountains. Snow showers will cross the mountains mid day Friday with the core of the colder air. The next event looks like rain showers New Year’s Day and a brief warm up early next week.

The pattern is breaking down…. and the outlooks shows a southern storm track with a chance of snow next weekend….
