Sunday December 4 – I wanted to address the system moving in tonight as there has been some concern about the impact on traveling and event schools Monday morning. This event will be moving in tonight and most of it will be rain for our region. But the arrival could start with sleet west and north of Baltimore, with a better chance in the mountains and near the Pennsylvania line in extreme northern Frederick, Carroll, and Baltimore Counties. Temperatures will stay above freezing, even as this moves away before sunrise. The colder air could bring a wintry mix or west snow near Lancaster, PA to the Poconos, but again with marginal temps and warmer roads.

The second system that follows will arrive Tuesday morning and once again could have some wintry mix with the start, but  roads are still warm. Rain could be heavy as that energy moves in during the day. Here is the timeline below.

Reminder: December 5th is Faith in the Flakes Day- just to honor the date with routine first snows. Wear your FITF shirt to show your pride and love of winter weather.
