Friday June 3 – It might feel like we are stuck in the soup with leftover drizzle and fog in many places. There will be a catalyst for that moisture in the form of a line of showers and storms developing in southern Pennsylvania and dropping south. The latest High Resolution Rapid Refresh Model has sped up the the timeline a little. Watching the morning radar, I would lean on the faster solution as well but waiting for the activity in PA to build up and catch up.
Here is the radar simulation. Brief notes below:
- 3 to 5 PM for metro Baltimore and Washington to Frederick and southern PA.
- 6 PM Annapolis can plan for showers in the area.
- Showers should fall apart when they reach the Eastern Shore.
The good news about this leans towards and improving evening. Sadly there is no improvement at this time for the weekend. We will set our sights on an active weekend with severe storms topping off Sunday. We will have the risk of flooding, large hail, and possible tornadoes.
