Severe Storms This Weekend: Rain Timeline And Flood Watch

SevereStormWeekendSaturday June 4 – You will feel the humidity in the air this morning and the energy in the atmosphere will act on that this afternoon to produce heavy rain producing storms. Even more so tomorrow as the likelihood for storms turning severe will increase and shift the focus right on top of our region. This will included York, Phildelphia, Baltimore, Washington, Annapolis, all of Delmarva, southeast Virginia, and northern North Carolina. There will be a chance storms produce damaging winds, large hail, and even isolated tornadoes.  The bulk of the energy will be in the mountains today where there is a Flood Watch, but might be a precursor to what we can expect in metro areas Sunday. Tomorrow will hit hardestStorms will have the potential to produce a few inches of rain in a short period of time. Both days will see prime time between 4 and 8 PM. Check out the two timelines below for an idea of tracking.

The development of storms that will turn severe will be dependent on sunshine and temperature. Should we each the upper 80s, that will provide the fuel for more severe weather.
