April 7 2016 proved to be rather stormy across central Maryland. The jury is still out on storm damage and a possible tornado this morning on North Point Blvd. But the afternoon produced hail that covered the ground in Eldersburg and intense rain with local flooding. But the storms and day ended with a plethora of vivid rainbow photos, including many doubles. Here is a collection of 16 I grabbed as soon as I got home from my son’s baseball practice. Sorry I didn’t get to them sooner.
Note:
Rainbows always have colors in the same order ROY-G-BIV. Red-Orange-Yellow-Green-Blue-Ingo-Violet
Double rainbows will have the primary or brighter arch on the bottom, with the secondary arch dimmer and the colors in reverse order. Check out the rest, and please let us know which you like the best. This are in no particular order, however there are a few convenient companies in frame stacked together that might serve as free press. None paid for the coverage here (yet).
Honorable Mention
I had to add this after publishing since it was so unique. A double rainbow with mammatus clouds over Newark, DE. Wow!!! Thanks to Alex Seymore for posting this evening.
