DenseFogAdvisoryIt is going to be a slow, dreary ride to work this morning. The Dense Fog Advisory was extended until 10 AM this morning with visibility under 1/4 mile. The return of the rain slowed down. It is still on the way, but drizzle and showers are already with us. The rain building in over the next few hours, just a little later than expected. The net result will eventually be to mix the air and improve the visibility but the trade off will be more rain. Some of it will be heavy as shown in the radar simulation below.

As a wave of Low Pressure passes overhead, there will also be a push of miler air into the mid 50s to 60°F.  The cold front will arrive this evening, and it could end with one last pulse of heavy rain, perhaps with some thunder. Then colder air will spill back in. But it will be dry.  Temperatures will end the week with highs in the 40s.

Wednesday Timeline: GFS Model

The Low Pressure appears to ride up I-81, then hook east through the Poconos. This will take the heaviest rain north and west of Baltimore. But there will be a solid push of moderate to heavy rain during the afternoon. Note: These time stamps show the rain accumulating over the 3 hours leading up to that. So the rain should be winding down in the evening.

About Faith in the Flakes and Giving Tuesday:

ChristmasFlakeMy boys and I are rocking our shirts from last year and believe we will see snow this month. It might be hard to imagine with this stretch of rain. We want to spread the joy in a new way. Among the new styles, we have holiday or Christmas colors, and waiting for ours to be printed. We thought it would be great if families would wear these together to open gifts under their trees. In appreciation for your support, we will be using 20% of the proceeds of these holiday shirts to purchase winter coats for kids and donating them before Christmas. Today I announce this, but the collections from this design will be added up through Dec 21 (official start of winter).

We know Hanukah is this weekend, and there are other holidays you may celebrate. This is the most universal.

Will you join our family with your family?
