DenseFogAdvisory_Dec2As if we have not had enough, there is even more rain on the way. There has been fog developing along with drizzle between the rain bands and now a Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for central Maryland.  This includes counties north and west of Baltimore until 3 AM. Visibility down under 1/4 mile.  But as another Low Pressure brings more rain, that should mix the air by daybreak.  No fancy maps, or forecast beyond. This is just a look at Wednesday’s rain timeline and radar simulation. Yes, we could see another inch of rain.  The good news, it should move out of metro Baltimore during the evening, then colder air will follow. But still nothing exceptional and the pattern doesn’t show any major adjustments for another two weeks at least.

As GivebackTuesday comes to a close, our giveback program continues for a few weeks. Check out how my family plans to purchase coast for kids to use this winter, and how you can join us.

Radar Simulation

This first looks shows the rain returning overnight and locking in for the morning commute. Keep scrolling through the slider and you will see it locked in for the afternoon as well. But the heaviest should stay west of Baltimore in the mountains and ride up along I-81.

Wednesday Timeline: GFS Model

The Low Pressure appears to ride up I-81, then hook east through the Poconos. This will take the heaviest rain north and west of Baltimore. But there will be a solid push of moderate to heavy rain during the afternoon. Note: These time stamps show the rain accumulating over the 3 hours leading up to that. So the rain should be winding down in the evening.

About Faith in the Flakes and Giving Tuesday:

ChristmasFlakeMy boys and I are rocking our shirts from last year and believe we will see snow this month. It might be hard to imagine with this stretch of rain. We want to spread the joy in a new way. Among the new styles, we have holiday or Christmas colors, and waiting for ours to be printed. We thought it would be great if families would wear these together to open gifts under their trees. In appreciation for your support, we will be using 20% of the proceeds of these holiday shirts to purchase winter coats for kids and donating them before Christmas. Today I announce this, but the collections from this design will be added up through Dec 21 (official start of winter).

We know Hanukah is this weekend, and there are other holidays you may celebrate. This is the most universal.

Will you join our family with your family?

See all of the designs here, hosted by local printing partner Ink Splash in Westminster.
