Baltimore and much of our region had fantastic weather Thanksgiving week. Some will  complain it’s too warm for the season or anxiously awaiting snow (like me), but it has been beautiful. I am thankful for all of the talented people who have braved the clock and elements to wake up early and capture sunrise. Over the weekend there was something special by the water. Tim Shahan is one of our favorites, and he captured this reflection of the clouds over the still water just as the rising sun was illuminating the deck. The Saturday morning surroundings were bathed in orange, yellow, and purple as seen here.

The benefit of getting outside at the right time, waiting for nature to develop, and knowing what settings to have ready for the camera is seen here. Check out the same view, just a few minutes earlier with a lot more red and purple due to more refraction from the pre-dawn sun over the horizon.

Waiting for the video

Sunrise_Timelapse_TimShahanI am so anxious to share this with you, as I’ve already waited a day. But Tim shared this other picture as an absolute tease. He was out recording for a time lapse video. But he does need to work his magic on his computer to prepare it the right way. So we need to wait for that, but I am certain it will be spectacular. But to prove his talent. I’ve posted two of his recent time lapse videos below.

Because the Saturday sunrise was so unique, here are a few other views:

This was the Friday sunrise from Tim. One thing for sure, he changes up his view sometimes, and what seems to be the perfect perspective.  Such a natural talent. While we wait for this Saturday video, check out the two recent clips below. I’ve also posted links to a lot of his other work

Shirts: Faith In The Flakes 2015-2016 Season

Faith in the Flakes Shirts

During the weekend I introduced our new shirt designs as I partnered with Ink Splash in Westminster to print and promote online.  Our Maryland Flag Flake is a big hit, but the original and Christmas shirts are available. Please note that we are adding more colors and ladies shirts (hooded shirts). So if you want more options, those should be available to order this week.

Also- If you order in bulk of 10 or more together from a school, first responder complex, or medical field, AND live within an hour drive of Baltimore I will deliver them personally.  We hope you love our new styles to show off your show and support small local businesses. Thanks for your support. See each description on this store page with links to order.
