Hopefully the recent storm did not strip too many of the leaves off of your trees, but inevitably peak foliage will come an go. This past weekend was peak in the mountains and the hills just west and north of Baltimore. The photo collection below is actually part 2 of what I was able to sort through from the weekend. They include views across Maryland from Point of Rocks to Ocean Pines. Also, southern Pennsylvania, and Virginia. I must add the disclaimer that I know I have missed many. I’ve been told even as I shared this picture gallery with a close friend. So if you shared a grey view or know someone who did and it is not here or in Part 1, I may very well follow up with more.
Note: The peak foliage pattern often follows similar lines and times of the average first frost dates. Check out the map I made in that article and you will see that metro Baltimore, Annapolis, coastal Chesapeake Bay, and much of Delmarva still has their peak this week or next.
