On the bright side of today’s storms, there was an incredible light show in the sky. The heavy rain produced flash flooding, but a sharp cut off of the rain line also allowed for afternoon sunlight to reach rain shaft producing vivid, intense, and brilliant colors in the sky.  Some of these rainbows truly stand out! I am writing this as storms continue to crawl across our region, but wanted to show some of the beauty as the drenching and flooding continues. Note: Yesterday, July 5th, was the only day this month without measurable rainfall in Baltimore.

The first two showed the most contrast both in Gamber, MD

Double Rainbow! Colors will always be in reverse order in the secondary (dimmer) arch.

What a Maryland Welcome! Kristin Hollis just returned from vacation to pass through a storm and see this.
