At first glance, thu may look like the same old tired hot weather pattern. But a disturbance will shift our way, brining increased chance of storms over the next few days, taking us into the weekend.
Deep in the Caribbean a like chance for the next tropical system, that could track into the Gulf of Mexico. That storm is what may help break down our patten by the middle of next week.
Morning Surface Weather
High Pressure continues to dominate, but starting to see the trigger for more storms shifting our way.

Tropical Outlook
There is a 90% chance that this region will develop a tropical storm in the next days. The next name on the list is Ida.
Forecast Models bring this into the central Gulf of Mexico. I do not like showing the plots before we have a central area of Low Pressure, since that formation region will actually help determine a more likely path.

The heat ridge will break down next week.
The dark blue circle is the upper level reflection of the tropical system. Here we see the GFS model brining it into the central Gulf Coast, then spreading rain and cooler temps our way for the middle of next week.
