Saturday August 21 2021
The main event is Tropical Storm Henri (‘ahn Ree’), that has made the turn north up the coast. The concern is that this has continued to defy computer modeling and trend west.
This is still going to remain off the Delmarva coast, but impact our beaches. Rainfall today may be limited in sinking air outside storm environment, but cooler winds and showers continue tomorrow.
Landfall now looks just east of New York City! This could be the first direct hurricane landfall in New England in 30 years. Note: Superstorms Sandy actually passed between Philadelphia and northern Maryland.

12 PM Saturday to 2 PM Sunday
There is an area of sinking air just outside the tropical system. We may end up in that today, limiting our rain formation. However, the storm may behave like a Nor’easter if this track holds…. So Cool winds, clouds, and showers are possible into Sunday.

I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
