Sunday August 8 2021
The storm that brought plenty of rain to Delmarva and the beaches yesterday is moving away, and will make for a nice day.
Back in western Maryland, cooler temps, but scattered afternoon thundershowers are what my team will encounter as we begin Maryland Trek 8. This first day we will hike and bike from Wisp to Cumberland.
The week ahead will feature a big heat wave across our region. Temps will jump into the mid and upper 90s, which will be a factor or our event and your plans.
Each day I will add a focus on certain parts of the state for our long endurance charity event. I hope you will follow along and support our mission for child cancer awareness and the Free Programs at Just In Power Kids.

Sunshine State Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
