Thursday July 22 2021
The storms with the cold front yesterday were the mark of a new air mass moving. As it has dropped the temperatures and humidity, it also pushed the bulk of the smoke away as well.
Most of the smoke!
The low level air quality has improved dramatically, but there are still some high level particulates, so the sky will be blue, but not a deep blue. Plus there are high cirrus clouds that will be mixing in across the sky.
Morning Air Quality!
Code Green to Code Yellow is a major improvement.
Surface Weather
A fresh new air mass has moved in, but also bringing in some high clouds this morning.
Satellite Loop
High thin cirrus clouds will be spreading. These may help to make the sky milky white with translucent clouds.
Wind Forecast
Surface winds will be light and from the north.
Smoke Forecast
Local low level smoke will near zero!

Sunshine State Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
