Thursday July 15 2021
We are in the peak of summer heat right now. Climate data shows this as the hottest time of the year, and it will live up to expectations. Temps will remain a little above average, but will break down this weekend.
Morning Surface Weather
A true heat dome is centered over the Mid Atlantic. This High Pressure provides sinking air, limiting the clouds and increasing the heat. However, some showers will pop up and break through late afternoon and evening.
The line of storms stuck to our west will slowly reach us by the weekend.
Radar Simulation
We remain in the environment of scattered showers and storms. These develop in the afternoon heat, and are hyper local. So while most of the region will remain dry, don’t be surprise if you get clipped by one.
Reminder: This product helps with timing, but the coverage has been under represented. We may see more storms than shown here.

Sunshine State Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
