July 9 TS Elsa Moving Away Then Strong Storms Return Later Today

Friday July 9 2021

Tropical Storm Elsa passed by and is racing up the coast this morning. Winds are still 50 mph and it is moving to the Northeast at 31 mph. This will still create problems in the path, but we get an improvement, briefly.

A cold front will arrive this afternoon with strong thunderstorms, that may still carry a risk to turn severe. This could include damaging winds and large hail.

Behind this front, the weekend weather will start off cooler and calmer, at least for one day.
