Monday July 5 2021

After one of the nicest weather days I’ve seen for Independence Day, we are about to heat up again.

Well to our south, Tropical Storm Elsa will be crossing Cuba today, then track to the west coast of Florida. A State of Emergency has already been issued there… Then the track inland takes it south of Ocean City and off the coast by Friday morning.

More on that storm below.

Morning Surface Weather

High Pressure is in control and we will be heating up this week.

A fading trough may ignite an isolated shower, but less than 20% chance today.

The moisture in Florida is NOT Elsa, but will help feed into that storm tomorrow.

Sunshine State Of Mind

I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.

This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.

Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
