Wednesday June 16 2021
The weather is about as good as it can get for this time of year. Canadian High Pressure has carved out most of the eastern US with a drop in humidity.
Morning Satellite Loop
Temperatures will be 5 to 10 degrees below average for a few days with plenty of sunshine. That means the sunburn index will be at near peak! Be careful outdoors.
This weekend, including Father’s Day will bring back the heat an humidity, along with the risk of thunderstorms.
Morning Surface Weather
The cold front has pushed all the way south to the Gulf Coast.

Looking Ahead
Gradual break down of our quiet weather as more heat and humidity builds this weekend.
Friday evening brings in some thunderstorms, then more humidity will ignite more storms this weekend.
This will continue daily into early next week.
7 Day Forecast
Increased humidity and chance of afternoon storms through Father’s Day and early next week.
Note: I am being optimistic for next Tuesday, but that could change. There may be a tropical system forming in the western Gulf of Mexico. If so, we need to watch for that to head in our direction some time next week.
Sunshine State Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
