Happy Flag Day! The may get a workout with strong winds tonight.
The day will start seasonable then end stormy. A strong cold front will arrive and ignite a line of storms, with the potential to turn severe. The afternoon may have some pop up showers, but the main event will arrive tonight, and peak in metro areas around midnight.
That timing may limit the true extent of these storms, but the risk for damaging winds, large hail, and flash flooding will be the prime factors.

Morning Surface Weather
Behind the cold front, temperatures will cool down back below average. Daily highs will be in the 70s, with lows in the 50s mid week. The next warm up will time out with next weekend.

Isolated storms will pop in the afternoon. This product has missed some activity lately, so we should revisit this as the showers develop.
The timing for the main line is expected tonight.

Sunshine State Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
