A back door cold front has been moving through the region this morning. This is a boundary from the north-northeast (a rare direction). Rain will be riding along the front, but will focused on certain areas shown in the simulation below.

The winds have shifted, even prompting a Wind Advisory on the Bay Bridge.

Temperatures already had the high for the day, and will continue to fall into the afternoon. Yes, it will be close to 30 degrees cooler compared to yesterday.

The winds have shifted to a cooler direction north of the front.
Rain has developed with some heavy pockets, but most of it has been light.
The rain showers will make it feel cooler, but also persist along the front as that continues to shift south.

A steady flow from the East to Southeast at 10 to 15 mph, but gusts up to 30 mph across the Bay through Delmarva and The Beaches.

Falling temperatures continue. Metro areas will be in the mid to lower 60s, compared to the mid 90s yesterday. It is possible that north and west end up in the upper 50s. That will feel chilly (or pleasant to some)
