High Pressure remains in control meaning nice weather. We are in a set up with the cool north winds contrasting with the mid May sunshine. The warmth will start winning, but we can not rule out a stray shower.

I believe we have turned the corner, and if you have brought your plants indoors it should be safe to return them outside. Morning temps have reached the 40s, but we are out of the frost risk.

Our region will be home to two events:

Preakness in Baltimore late in the afternoon.

NASA’s next rocket launch attempt from Wallops Island. The weather appears good for both. Yes, this may actually happen.

The risk of afternoon showers will linger, but only around 20% today and Saturday. On Sunday the risk of rain and afternoon T’storms will increase.

Beach Weather

I am working on some new graphics in anticipation of my brand new web site. It is time to start looking towards the Beaches each weekend.

Winds by the water will continue to keep them cooler than metro areas. The rain event on Sunday may hold off here, but bring in more clouds.

I have latched on the the warmer urban temps, so the 70s are likely to continue.

It also looks like the rain we expected on Monday may stay just south of our region. It is still worth watching.

Sunshine State Of Mind

I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
