Sunday April 4 2021
Happy Easter if you are celebrating this holiday. If not, we still have the weather to celebrate as it should be a marked improvement from the past few days.
The morning clouds will be moving out, bringing more sun this afternoon and a clear sky for the prime viewing of the International Space Station flyover tonight.
One more nice day, then we get into a pattern with a chance of showers each day next week.
Morning Surface Weather
A disturbance brought in clouds and some rain showers overnight. You may still have early morning clouds, but those will move away this morning.
High Pressure and a shift in winds will help to clear us out.
Morning Satellite Loop
The color adjustment is the overnight Infrared switching to daylight True-Color mode.
Here we see clearing behind our cloud cluster in western Maryland and PA. If you have overcast this morning, it will improve for most by noon.
Morning Temperatures
The cloud cover last night kept temps mild. No record lows this time… This gives us a good foundation for when the sun returns.

Forecast Snapshot: Central Maryland
Here we see showers entering the picture on Tuesday and Wednesday, but the timing is more likely overnight and early morning.
This may show up as rain on your apps, but most of the days will be dry.
Sunshine Sate Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
Looking Ahead:
After two nice days the pattern appears to turn active With a chance of showers almost every day next week starting with Tuesday. But the steadier rain is more likely Thursday and Friday.
Temperature Outlook
I still do not agree with the computer model long range forecasting. Here is a quick looks at how I see high temps next week:
Mon: Near 70ºF; Sunny
Tue: Lower 60s; Early Rain Showers
Wed: Lower 60s; Early Rain Showers
Thu: Mid 60s; Periods of Rain
Fri: 50s; Periods of Rain
Next Weekend: 50s; Mostly Cloudy
