Saturday Evening Update March 27 2021
NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center has our region in the Slight Risk for severe storms on Sunday. This will depend on how much sun and warm air can build in during the day. Yes, I mentioned sun.
Your weather app or other forecast may have shown rain with a lightning bolt, but the entire day will not be wet. There will be dry hours in between the morning rain showers and afternoon storms. Those storms will depend on how unstable the air can get.
Severe Storm Outlook Sunday
This is for the potential that storms can push 58 mph winds, hail 1 inch or larger, and isolated tornadoes.
- Slight Risk includes Baltimore, Washington, Annapolis, and Salisbury.
- Enhanced Risk for metro Richmond, VA.

Saturday Evening Surface Weather
A complex system has been plotted on the weather map this evening. It will bring in rain showers overnight into Sunday morning. Then a break for a few hours is what we watch for possible heating to the mid 70s to fuel a line of storms.

Tracking Wednesday Rain and Snow Thursday.
The main reason I am mentioning this snow is to consider that it may actually reach opening day baseball in New York and also for the Orioles in Boston during the afternoon.
Thursday Morning: April 1st Snow?
This may be more ambiance than anything else locally, but a sharp contrast to the 80s we just had yesterday.
