A series of disturbances continues to send a little cold air our way. There have been a robust outbreak of snow in the mountains, but only a few flurries have made it into metro areas. That will continue today and tomorrow: Cold winds, but only a flurry or two.

Simply for fun, I included the western Maryland Snow Cams again.

The next push of cold air will be stronger and last longer. We continue to watch this arriving early next week with the next potential for a wintry mix in our region.

Western Maryland Snow:

4 Inches or more has fallen over Garrett County in the past two days. They will continue to see persistent snow showers to keep the to layer fresh on the slopes, and also on the roads.

Looking Ahead:

The wintry weather early next week should be on the leading edge of our next push of arctic air. We will be on the edge of an elongated system. This may start as rain and an icy mix, then end with snow on Tuesday.

The GFS and European Models continue to show different solutions, but the focus appears to be on next Tuesday.
