Friday December 4 2020
I want to start off with full disclosure. This morning I was wrong! The rain I anticipated to develop well west and north, ended up right over central Maryland. Baltimore was soggy, which wasn’t expected until later today. The reason was simple: The band of rain I relied on the NAM. Km Model (you can see in my timeline last night) set up about 50 miles south.
The storm is still developing along the Gulf Coast, and will rapidly intensify as it passes by overnight and early Saturday. We are still on for heavy rain, and possibly some flooding. Most of it will end by daybreak.
I still believe we can see flurries Saturday afternoon and evening, and we all will get a cold wind. But what might be of more interest: The European Model showing light snow for Monday.

It will remain a chilly day with strong winds in the afternoon.
Looking Ahead:
The European ECMWF Model is still showing another small system taping into the core of this cold air mass. Here we and see it close enough to produce light snow. I did not want to harp on this, but figured it was time to keep you in the loop with close tabs.
