The afternoons remain unseasonably warm. After a record high on Saturday, Baltimore hit 78ºF on Sunday. Not a record, but almost 20 degrees above normal. We have a few more days of that, and could set more records for afternoon temperatures. We continue to watch Tropical Storm Eta as well. That storm will linger near Florida in the Gulf of Mexico, but will also send heavy rain our way.

National Hurricane Center Forecast
Tropical Storm Warnings remain in place for both coasts on the southern half of Florida and the Bahamas.
This storm is teaming up with a widespread easterly wind. That is what is pushing the center, but may also play a role in directing it farther north.
This will linger off the coast all week long.
Forecast Animation
This shows a lot of moisture thrown well north into our region on Wednesday as it links up with a cold front. This also shows the center wondering in the Gulf of Mexico into next weekend. This may make all of the difference in the full impact with the second surge of rain we may get next weekend.
