October 24 Weather Flipping To Much Cooler Temps With Rain This Weekend

Today is by far the better weather day of the weekend. We are about to get an abrupt end to this late summer warmth.  A cold front is moving through this morning with a little rain. But that is not where the story is.  We will get a few hours with showers, but salvage out a nice afternoon. The change will be tomorrow with a wind shift and rain.  We will go from 70s this afternoon to 40s tomorrow afternoon. The change will be 25 to 30 degrees and feel raw!

Cold Front

The rain should be passing central Maryland later this morning. The rain should last only about an hour or two.

 

Temperatures: Afternoon

This afternoon should reach the lower 70s in central Maryland and lower Eastern Shore, mid to upper 60s elsewhere.

Notice the 40s in western Maryland and West Virginia. That is this first sign of the real cold air on the way.

Sunday Weather

The wind will shift from the northeast, but the rain will come from the southwest. This is along the old front that is expected to stall.

 

 

Temperatures 

Sunday Morning: Our high temperatures will be at midnight, then drop.

 

Sunday Afternoon: Temps are likely to hold in the 40s for most with the rain. Slightly Milder in southern Maryland.

 

Looking Ahead: Rain Animation

The rain should end by Monday morning, then return. Tuesday. Another, larger storm is expected to bring heavier rain Thursday and Friday. That is what will change our pattern looking forward. This could end with snow in western Maryland’s Garrett County on Friday.
