Hurricane Sally continues to crawl at 2 mph. The wind speed is 80 mph, but the satellite does appear to show some increased convection. Plus the pressure has dropped a tad in the last report from the National Hurricane Center. There are signals of more activity, despite how close it is to land.
This is a case where the exactly landfall is not as important as the duration. There is a long time for flooding from rainfall and storm surge. Just a lot of water to go around, a shame it can’t be sent to the west coast.
Here is a collection of resources for you to track this storm through landfall and beyond. This includes: Satellite views, live radar, interactive widgets, computer model plots, and National Hurricane Center maps, statements, and warnings.
