September 9 Weather Something Tropical To Bring Us Rain Plus Colorado Snow

Wednesday September 9 2020

Our nice weather stretch is coming to an end. We have had some showers this morning, and more rain on the way today with heavier storms tomorrow. There is something tropical off of the southeast US coast. The National Hurricane Center gives this only a 30% chance for development, but it has enough moisture to bring periods of rain and downpours into Thursday.

Below is our weather forecast and a special look at the snow around Denver and pages in Colorado to satisfy your snow itch. FITF.

Here’s a look at the loop showing the tropical moisture funneling in to the Mid Atlantic.  More rain today will be across southern Maryland, Virginia and the Carolinas. But showers will spread across metro areas in central Maryland and Delaware during the day.

This NAM model may be missing some of the activity. There will be showers spreading in from the south, while winds will be from the northeast. That will hold temps down a bit.
