Friday August 28 2020
This is our last hot day for a while. We have a cold front to the north that will stir up many storms today, the then remains of Laura that will bring in more storms and severe weather tomorrow.
At the time of this post, there is no Watch or Warning locally, but I suspect that may change.
- A Watch means is may happen. That would be issued for a large area over a 6+ hour period.
- A Warning means is is happening now. Usually issued for 45+ minutes for a county with local towns listed.
The risk will be for storms to produce flash flooding, dangerous lightning, damaging winds, and or large hail. The threat for isolated tornadoes will be added in on Saturday with the Laura.

Radar Simulations
These are guidance and not perfect, as we have seen recently. But I wanted to provide an idea of how active the storms may get this afternoon and tonight.
