Thursday August 6 2020

The break from the rain is being filled back in by growing clouds and new area thunderstorms. Below is an updated radar simulation, but the models once again are falling short. This initialization has missed some cells.  There is a cluster near Hagerstown and a larger coverage of heavy rain in southern Maryland.

This hints that there may be more activity than the sliders show. So that Flood Watch still applies with some storm cells that may be slow moving and dump locally heavy rain.

Plan for a busy evening and overnight. But with poor guidance, we will have to play it by riding the radar.
