Tuesday July 28 2020
We start off this morning with very warm air, but the the humidity will be the story on the day. Heat Index values will be over 100ºF for many and this will fuel some strong storms with the potential for damaging winds later this afternoon. Not all will see them, but we will all gradually get some relief later this week.
Here is a look at the conditions and radar simulation. Please keep in mind that computer model forecasts have been impacted in COVID19 with less data from less air flights. So I will repeat the message that we could see more than what is shown below, so keep the time frame in mind to be aware of any developments.

Heat Advisory
I needed to add in the extended area with expected heat index values over 100ºF outside of the advisory area.

This is what it should feel like outside.
Forecast High Temperatures
This is what the thermometers may read, but it will feel hotter.

Reminder: We have had more activity than models have suggested recently. Please plan for storms between 3 PM and 8 PM. Some may hit severe limits with warnings issued.
