Today may be the best weather we will have for a few weeks. A cold front brought morning showers to southern Maryland, now High Pressure is brining in a dry in humidity. We still have summer warmth but it will be comfortable. The next few days will bring back showers and storms Thursday and Friday. Then the heat dome will build and lock in over our region with what could be the hottest air of the year most of next week.
Morning Set Up
Closer Look
This view shows the morning showers cloud cluster moving past Ocean City. It also shows valley fog to our west. That is actually a good sign of lower humidity. It sounds counterintuitive, but the fog formed when the air was cool enough to allow the temperatures in the deep mountain valleys to reach the dew point. During the day, the temp will rise, but the dew points will say lower.

Late Evening Comet NEOWISE Viewing
The clear sky should allow many more of us to get a view of the comet. This graphic is for 1 hour after sunset. Basically, look Northwest between 9 PM and 10 PM. It will climb higher in the sky and grow brighter over the next 10 days.

The chance of thundershower and storms will return Thursday, then shift to southern Maryland and the beaches on Friday. The next push will come with the high heat early next week.

A ridge of High Pressure should lock in next week allowing multiple days to reach the mid to upper 90s.
Temperature Outlook
A few days in the upper 90s are possible next week.
