July 3 Weather May /be Hottest Of The Year Then A Little Cooler July 4 Weekend

As we start the July 4 holiday weekend, the forecast of 90s maybe expected. I looked back at all of the 90 degree days at BWI, and the list is below. But today will rival the hottest day of the year, so far. The good news is that a slight shift of wind will help to cool us down for the holiday weekend. It will still be hot, just more tolerable.

Afternoon High Temperatures 

 

 

Tonight 

A  line of showers or storms may drop south from PA to the northern Chesapeake Bay area around midnight

This will shift the winds and bring in some slightly cooler air for the weekend.

 

Saturday 

Afternoon

Winds should shift back to the east/northeast. That should keep temps in check during the afternoon.

Many models are suggesting a break from the 90s for the holiday.

There will be a slight chance of pop up showers.
