Here we go again. Anther afternoon and another round of developing showers and thunderstorms. This has been expected, but we have also had a pattern of overachieving with earlier, more widespread, and more potent storms. So once again, we should consider the chance for severe weather that includes damaging wind, large hail, dangerous lightning, and flash flooding.
Flash Flood Watch
NWS has highlighted these areas with the best chance of heavy rain that can lead to flooding. The potential can be up to 2 inches of rain in less than 1 hour. In Maryland, the best chance includes Carroll County and westward. It is possible to get flooding in counties not included here.

Hello Dolly! Tropical Storm Dolly was just named in the North Atlantic with winds at 45 mph. This my be academic as it will continue to move away from the US coast.
The cluster of clouds in the Ohio Valley is our weather event today.

Radar: Closer Look
This is a 2 1/2 hour loop up to about 3:30 PM. There are a few lines of storms forming, so like yesterday some areas will have multiple rounds of thunderstorms.

This model is NOT perfect! It is only for a guide of activity and movement of the storms. In recent days we have seen more storms developing a fee hours sooner than this model has shown.
