Sunday May 3 2020 Evening update
The rain on the way tonight may produce 1 to 2 inches in a short time. This may fall on already soggy soil, and flooding is possible. This is prt of a cold front that will bring back a cool weather pattern for the next two weeks. So the 70s and 80s we had today are going out with a bang.
Flood Watch Until 2 AM
In Maryland this includes eastern Montgomery, Prince Georges, Anne Arundel, Charles, and Calvert Counties. But some heavy rain will reach the northern counties. See more below.
Evening Radar Loop
As of 9:30 PM, the rain has reached central Maryland (and southern PA) and there have been some lightning strikes. The bulk of the heavy rain will cross most of Virginia and into southern half of Maryland. A few more rubles of thunder are possible locally through midnight.
