Friday February 7 2020
A wild swing of weather this morning is underway. A Dense Fog Advisory is in place until 8 AM. However, as rain moves in this will diminish the fog. Warm air is briefly moving in with the rain and some areas could quickly hit the 50s, only to drop off dramatically before noon into the 30s and 40s. Bring your winter coat today!
Wind Advisory: A strong cold front will be the final surge of heavy rain later this morning. Winds may gust to 50 mph for many, even higher on Delmarva! This is enough to move lawn furniture, break tree branches, and maybe some power outages.
Oh, and northern suburbs could end this with some snowflakes (but no road stickage). There will be moderate to heavy snow up to 5 inches in western Maryland. See this all in the simulation slider below.
Wind Gusts
The strongest winds will be this morning with the cold front. But remaining gusty through the afternoon.
