Friday January 3 2020
A wet start this morning but the end of a shortened work week. Rain is already breaking to showers and we will get a few dry hours mid day. The next wave of rain this afternoon and tonight will be heavy in southern Maryland. We are in a solid storm path, just on the warm side. Temps will peak Saturday, then turn colder Sunday through most of next week.
Another storm on Tuesday will bring a chilly rain with snow possibly along I-81. Then another storm expected next weekend.

Outlook Temps And Storms
Temps will turn colder, to seasonable levels. But there will be two more storms over the next week that may bring snow just to our north.
I show the extended outlook, but I have little confidence in long range modeling. It has proven to be inaccurate, so I expect next weekend to verify differently than shown here. It is possible the pattern shifts east and that next storm could be ‘colder’… So stay tuned.
Two Storms Next Week:
The system on Tuesday will have the colder air and snow close to and inland from I-81. The following system next weekend is likely to end up differently than shown here. I expect it will be colder than shown, but can NOT toss out the wintry ‘stuff’ yet.
