Tuesday December 31 2019
The year and decade are about to end with a little cool down, but still above average temperatures. We have had cold air this month, but that has been erased with two days hitting the 60s in Baltimore since Christmas. Yesterday hit 62ºF at BWI, but remained in the 40s near the PA line. At lest we end the year with almost half of the rain we had last year when we set the record with nearly 72 inches.
Today, the winds shift from the west and dry us out from the recent storm. Temps will get close to 50ºF. But as the winds shift, snow will return to western Maryland’s Garrett County where a fresh coating of a dusting to a few inches will fall. A few flurries could reach our far inland suburbs this evening, but only for ambience.
